We are called to reach into our backyard to share the love of God. NorthWood seeks be a blessing to the people of Keller, Watuaga, Haltom City North Richland HIlls and the surrounding communities. Through camps, ESL classes, tutoring, community beautification, hosting civic and school events, adoption of a local schools, apartment complexes and other opportunities we serve others and show them the love of God while building relationships.

Fight Child Trafficking - Join NorthWood Church in the fight against child trafficking locally.  There are opportunities to get involved in the fight by volunteering with Traffick911, providing sensitivity and awareness training to local schools, organizations and city and county officials.  You can also directly support Traffick911 financially and you can run or volunteer in the annual Run for Triumph (1 Mile Fun Run & 5K), hosted by NorthWood Church in October.  The proceeds from this go to Triumph House, a local shelter for rescued victims of child trafficking.  For more information go to: http://www.traffick911.com/ or contact contact Matt Robertson, Glocal Impact Pastor: mattrobertson@northwoodchurch.org.

Parkview Elementary - Parkview is a Title 1 school in Keller ISD.  The school’s vision is to be a resource to the community and to become a community center for children and families.  Volunteer opportunities at Parkview include:
  • In-class, after-school tutoring, music & art classes
  • Landscaping, campus beautification, community gardens
  • Teacher / classrom adoption to bless teachers and students in different ways
  • Watchdog Program: male role-models to encourage kids, and help teachers in various ways, 1 day a year commitment

Garden Gate Apartments - Garden Gate is a Section 8 apartment community located on N. Beach Street right in front of Parkview Elementary School. Northwood volunteers have built significant relationships with residents, and have served alongside the diverse demographic of individuals and families since the summer of 2011. We have already seen God move in tremendous ways. Here’s how you can become involved in a life changing opportunity:
 • Serve at monthly Community Gatherings to reach out to adults at Garden Gate. This could involve serving a meal, refreshments, or facilitating a group activity.
 • Attend weekly engagements with children to provide snacks, crafts, and an opportunity to share God’s love.
 • Join the Leadership Council. This is a group of Garden Gate residents that come together once a month with Northwood representatives to celebrate and coordinate all of the work that God is doing.
 • Pray. God may be calling you, your family, or your cell to be a part of transforming lives at Garden Gate.
